We believe everyone should be involved in some kind of service and outreach! It's what God made united states for! The congregation of Redford Aldersgate is engaged in service in a variety of means -in our own neighborhood and around the world. Fellowship Circles, the Youth Group, the Boy Scouts, and the Missions Commission are all on the motility out in the world making a divergence. We take seasonal projects around holidays, in one case a year activities like the Rotating Shelter for the homeless or Boy Sentinel food drives, quick response projects like Health Kits for Haiti, and ongoing projects. There is a place for anybody to serve our neighbors someday – get involved!

On the last Saturday of the month, food, personal care items, and more collected by our congregation and through our non-profit, RBI, is given out in boxes to families in demand in our community. We serve over 100 families in our community through this vital program. We are currently operating a drive-through system to limit contact. Free Stores
We are very excited about our Gratis Shop Ministries! Inspired past the need and sense of community created past our annual One Stop Store, we now have two year circular Gratis Stores where neighbors can shop more regularly for things they need for their children, themselves or their homes. We have donations of gently used wearable, working household items, books and furniture year round so that our Complimentary Stores will ever offer new items for our neighbors to take.
COVID protocols are in effect at our Free Stores: Masks are required and shoppers are spread out and a limited number of people are allowed in the store at one time.
BRIGHTMOOR CAMPUS Free Store:
All are welcome at the Brightmoor Campus on Saturdays from 9:30 a.1000. – 12:30 p.m.
REDFORD CAMPUS Open up DOOR Gratis Shop:
All are welcome at the Redford Campus on the first Thursday of the month from v:thirty – vii:00 p.one thousand. and the third Sat of the month from 8:30 a.m. – x:00 a.m. Come on by!
Piece of furniture:
Nosotros are now collecting furniture in good condition at both of our campuses. Currently, article of furniture is distributed by volunteers at our Brightmoor Campus every bit needed.

Ane Stop Shop
1 End Shop is an annual Christmas-time outcome at both of our campuses. In partnership with University of Michigan and cheers to donations from all over the metro surface area, families in our community can come through our One Cease Store and get what they need for their family for Christmas, including new children's toys, winter jackets, pillows, blankets, appliances, and more than.

Soul Stitchers

Some are experienced, others are merely learning, simply together they are making certain that every new mom in our surface area receives a handmade baby blanket. Rotating Shelter
Each yr, usually in the spring, our congregation participates in a rotating shelter run by Cass Customs Social Services. For one week we provide meals, activities and a safety warm and dry out place to sleep to upward to 40 adults. Different groups in the church building have turns preparing meals and being present for fellowship with our guests. The Gate – Youth
The youth of Redford Aldersgate are agile participants in the life of our congregation. They also have their own fellowship and events throughout the year.
The best way to get plugged in to the youth group is to come up to one of the Sunday gatherings.
6th-12th class
Every Sunday from six:30 – 8:00 pm
All 6th-twelfth graders are invited to participate and are encouraged to bring their friends. We will take music, games and snacks together and split the group into center and high schoolhouse for our time of learning most God's Give-and-take and how it applies to our lives. Students are welcome to stay equally late as eight:xxx to play games or socialize.
If there is school on Monday, we are in that location on Sunday!
The youth grouping does a lot of other fun activities and outings throughout the year, including a calendar week-long mission trip in the summer.

Redford Interfaith Relief
Our congregation partners with other churches in Redford to support this important ministry. RIR is a food pantry a clothing closet as well every bit a great source of other referrals to low income families in our surface area.
Methodist Children's Dwelling house and Society
This residential facility right here in Redford cares for boys who are unable to be in their ain homes for a variety of reasons. Cass Community Social Services
